Parents help your student:

Make sure they are getting a good night sleep, eat a good breakfast, and develop good study habits.

For my students:

I am only one person, but I will try to help you as much as I possibly can.  In order for you to help me and yourself to be successful in my class, you need to be there and listen.  Get a good night sleep.  Eat something in the morning.  Come to learn.  Ask questions. Do all of your homework, class work and labs.
Develop good study habits, especially when getting ready for tests.  Do not just read the chapter.  This will not help you.
If you need help, come and see me during office hours on block days.
Get involved.  Be a student, not a bystander.
"A student is a person who applies the mind to acquire information."

I cannot help you if you will not help yourself.

Thank you,

Ms. Pitts
